National Memorial Ride (NMR) Corporation Appointments

The NMR Corporation Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Colonel David Hughes (Royal Canadian Air Force) will be joining the Board.  David brings a wealth of knowledge to the Board in the form of integrated operations experience, major capital project management and audit expertise.  David will be replacing Mr. Greg. Shepherd, who has resigned from the Board to accept the position of Chief Executive Officer.  Greg has been with the NMR since the beginning, and helped steer the company through its establishment as a federally incorporated Non-profit.

The Board would like to thank the outgoing CEO, Mr. Roger Levert, for his outstanding contributions to the organization.  Roger is one of the founders of the National Memorial Ride and he has led the company through its inaugural, second and third annual Rides.  Because of his determined efforts the corporation became financially solvent within two years of inception, and the annual National Memorial Ride is prospering as a well orchestrated event.

The Board would also like to recognize and thank our NMR members and volunteers for their exceptional and unrelenting support to the organization.  Their tireless work has allowed this dignified event to mature into a remembrance occasion that attracts Riders from all walks of life in order to pay reverence to our Fallen.  It is because of our volunteers’ unyielding dedication that this charity Ride continues to benefit of our Wounded and our Veteran Hospitals.
