I would like to invite all riders and non-riders alike to attend the National Memorial Ride on the 6th of June 2010. This event is in honour of Canadian soldiers, sailors and airmen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country. The goal of this registered non-profit organization is to raise awareness and funds for Canadian Veterans organizations, and to assist them with their extremely worthy efforts. This will be the second annual event on behalf of our brothers and sisters, past and present, who have given All so we can be free.

As motorcyclists, this ride is a way for us to come together to show our country, as well as the families and friends of our fallen and wounded, the depth of our appreciation for their service and sacrifice. As this ride will be our second annual ride, we’re building upon lessons from the 2009 event and we hope to provide the many riding clubs across Ontario and Quebec an outstanding experience in our nation’s capital as we pay tribute to our fallen. The weekend will include the Saturday Ride for Dads ride, a Saturday night Bikers Bash (open for bikers and non-bikers alike)  a parade of bikes to the National Military Cemetery, in the Beechwood Cemetery, where a memorial service to our fallen will take place.

In my role as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Memorial Ride, I have insisted on thorough planning, good governance and complete transparency in all areas of operations and finance in order to ensure the success of the event in subsequent years. In keeping with complete transparency, proper annual financial statements are made available on this website following this organization's fiscal year-end.

With your participation and support we hope to make a substantial contribution to Veterans organizations this year and have a strong foundation for future years.

Hope to see you at the ride

Roger Levert

Chief Executive Officer
